I am really an origami fan: with simple squares of paper, we can make all kinds of very decorative objects and among the best (from my point of view!), There is the creation of light garlands. Of course, you will have to buy or collect the LED garland in question, but you can dress all these LEDs with paper shapes made from simple origami folds. With pretty papers and LED lighting by transparency, you will get a really nice rendering. Material question, it is of course the choice of paper that will determine the final rendering. In fact, you can try all kinds of them (newspaper, magazines, etc.) for very different results. You will still realize that the special origami paper is easier to use, and that for a nice effect, it is better to choose a paper that is sufficiently translucent to let the light filter in. For a very poetic Japanese effect, real washi paper is truly the "must", it delicately lets light pass through its patterns; in terms of folding, it is easy to handle and is resistant. The only downside, its price ... It's up to you! In this tutorial, we will make a light garland with origami lotus flower buds. For this, you will need: - a light garland with 10 LEDs, - 10 sheets of paper of your choice, in 15 x 15 cm format.
